My parents worked very hard earned a lot of wealth and connections. Then they had me, a useless son who can’t get a job because chose to major in underwater basket weaving. To help the family save face, my folks made some calls and pulled some strings for me. Now I’m an overpaid “manager” with no direct reports who oversees the department sinecures. I don’t know what that word means and should probably look it up someday.
